I’m so impressed!

October 9, 2009

My first blog following the epic 100 Days of Gratitude, is a little sharing about Ethan’s blog.  Now that he’s not asking me everyday what I’m going to blog, he’s decided that it’s his turn to blog consistently.  He began blogging 14 Days of Thinking a few days ago, and I’m blown away by what he’s up to.  It’s entirely his blog, once Lyndon showed him how to insert a photo, he’s done the whole thing himself each day, without prompting.  Love it.  I especially love today’s blog – check it out.

And thanks for all the feedback on facebook about my 100 Days of Gratitude!  I’m grateful – and I’ve learned so much.  More blogging to come…

100 Days of Gratitude – Day 59 – Woo Hoo!

August 24, 2009

Picture 6So grateful to have the proofed copy of the book! So this pictured icon is the sign that the book is moving forward well.  Gosh it’s an inspiring read!  I can’t wait to sit down and read it properly – not from an editing perspective.  It starts with a brilliant Foreword by Tim Fischer AC, (Former Deputy Prime Minister) who co-authored Outback Heroes and Communities That Count.

If you’ve missed the excitement in recent days, I’m publishing a book called Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers – Success Stories of Regional Entrepreneurs.  I’ve interviewed Roger Fletcher, Jacqui Greig, Nathan Shooter, Mary Brell, the list goes on – 12 inspiring stories of success in Regional Australia…

I love introducing people and sharing the gold that they have within – so this book, although tedious in editing at times, is an absolute joy to share with people.  Inspiring stories need to be shared, and there’s a lot of people waiting for this by the sound of it!

Thanks for sharing the journey,
Love Kerrie

100 Days of Gratitude – Day 42

August 7, 2009

Picture 6I’ve been sitting here contemplating the day – I have much to be grateful for – but what did I take a photo of today in my book-busy day?   I’m in a silent house and suddenly startled by the “brrrring” of the Live Chat on our site. A new friend Lindsay popped in to say hi! I’m grateful for the live chat as it connects me with people – and I love meeting new people!  Everyone is doing something interesting!  Lindsay found our site from You Tube, where he’d come across Ethan’s video with my grandparents (his great-grandparents)

I’m also grateful that Lyndon taught me how to do a screen capture!  Now I can take a photo of anything on my screen and send it to anyone.  I think I’ve used it numerous times just today!

Here’s to a fabulous weekend, and more moments to be grateful for…

Cheering you on,

Kerrie

100 Days of Gratitude – Day 39

August 4, 2009

Ethan & PupThe joy of puppies and the excitement of little boys… I’m grateful for the time with Ethan at a friends place with their new puppies.  I was picking him up from Amanda’s (see Day 32) after music, and we took a little time to meet their new arrivals… (who are now tinted yellow after a rather small preschooler decided to paint them yesterday).

There’s a few big things to be grateful for today  too, a fantastic coaching call with our Create the Life Club members today, an inspiring interview with a very successful innovative farmer (for the book) and other wonderful conversations.  It’s always useful though to dwell on the little delightful things too, that make our days special.

Cheering you on,

Kerrie

Are You Ready?

January 13, 2009

I was woken early this morning from a deep sleep, following my late night return from the farm. “Oh my goodness! Who is pounding on the door so early?!”

It was the third shipment of my Journals, so I opened the garage for the oh-so-chipper Courier and welcomed them in.

Life’s a little like that – sometimes we get lovely surprises or opportunities, but we don’t feel quite ready for them. It reminded me of a call earlier in the week with one of our members, a previous coaching client, who has the opportunity to take on a great business with enormous potential. His concern, which I completely relate to, was a sense of not knowing enough yet. (When do we ever know enough? …these opportunities keep us always learning, always fresh and growing, so it’s all good.)

the-e-myth-revisitedI recommended a few people and resources to him, especially The E-Myth which has supported countless people around the world, including me and a large percentage of my clients. I believe it’s essential reading for anyone in business, or considering a business, so check it out here, print it off, underline key ideas, write notes… implement, and build a thriving business that works for you.

This resource, plus more than 500 others, are available to Create the Life Club members at no extra cost, even if you’re a fast learner and download one to use everyday! If you haven’t discovered the benefits of Create the Life Club membership, you can trial it today for just $1. Read more here

Make the most of January, keep living on purpose and Creating the Life You Want.

Cheering you on, Kerrie

The Power of Commitment

January 31, 2008

If you’re not ready to commit to something, then don’t!!  Many people make New Years Resolutions and have become “too busy” to stick to them.  It’s more likely a commitment factor. I needed a holiday after Christmas, I wasn’t ready to create powerful goals for the year then – but now… look out world!  Here comes my best year ever.

When you’re clear on what’s most important to you, and what’s an achievable time-frame, make your plans and go for it!  Commit wholeheartedly and don’t look back, keep focused and believing that it’s possible.  This quote, one of my favourites, expresses it beautifully…

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness, concerning all acts of initiative [and creation]. There is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans; that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.Whatever you can do or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now. Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe/ Sir Edmund Hillary

What have you been thinking about doing this year?  Are you ready to move forward and keep going?  People ask me (especially in the coaching community) how I managed to build a successful coaching practice – “and in a regional area” and my answer has to be that I chose not to have a “plan B”.  I knew what I wanted to do and was not going to settle for anything else.  It can be tempting, when you’re multi-talented, to settle for something you do well and enjoy – but if there’s something bigger calling you GO FOR IT!
