100 Days of Gratitude – Day 21

My Wedding Ring!

I’m grateful that I found my wedding ring!  It went missing a few months before our 15th wedding anniversary.  I’d taken it off while at my Granparents home in Sydney as I had a heat rash under it – something that’s never happened before.  I shuffled it from finger to finger, trying to find a safe place for it, and went off to my conference, traveled home and couldn’t find it.  Was it in Sydney, in a really safe place, in my suitcase, in a really safe place, or had it fallen off my other hand?  We’ve all looked everywhere, until I went looking for another coin or two so I could upgrade from a cup to a mug of coffee without finding an ATM, and there in a little pocket of a little wallet I keep my lipsticks in, was not a coin but a gold ring!  Phew!  So now I’m laughing at myself, apologising to my family, and being grateful that I have it where it belongs.  How funny that it’s been in my bag almost every single day.  Yep!  That was  a safe place!
